Women's League - April - Sept.M ondays at 6 pm
Men's League - May 4-Aug. 21, Tuesday at 5:30 pm
High School - Monday-Thursday 3 pm
In the event of rain or threat of severe weather, tournament start may be delayed no later than 3 pm. A decision will be made by 2 pm and posted on Facebook @CaneyGolfClub.
Weather delay
Play is expected through moderate rain or other inclement weather such as wind. During play, if there is lightning in the area, a siren will be sounded to alert golfers and players will be ordered off the course. If severe weather such as heavy rain and wind occurs, the tournament director will temporarily suspendplay. In the event of a lengthy weather delay, a decision will be made if enough time remains to resume suspended play. Play will be resumed once weather clears.
It is possible in a 1-day tournament that play suspended by weather could be ended if all competitors have completed 9 holes. In that event, the winner will be determined by those scores. Players must remain at the Club during the suspension to await resumption or cancellation to qualify for payout.
2-day tournaments*
It may be necessary to shorten the morning or afternoon play to less than 18 holes if a lengthy weather delay takes place. Every effort will be made to complete 18-hole rounds on each day.
If the course is not playable at the start of the second day, a decision will be made by 7 am and posted on Facebook @CaneyGolfClub. The post will announce finishing scores and provide the tournament director’s and the Club’s text, phone and email. It is the responsibility of the winners to contact and make arrangements to pick up their prize funds.
If play commences on the second day and must be temporarily suspended, every effort will be made to wait out any delay and finish the tournament. A decision for resuming/adjusting the length of rounds and/or matches will be made based on current conditions. Players must remain at the Club during the suspension to await resumption or cancellation to qualify for payout.
* Exception: Men’s Club Championship. If the course is not playable on the second day, matches will be played the following weekend, accommodating any scheduled tournament.
